Place daily essentials where they are easy to reach, with less-used items elsewhere. Avoid filling every free wall simply because a cupboard will fit there.

Moving the toilet or shower can change the drainage and floor work needed. Explore what improves the room while keeping existing positions, then compare the benefit of a different layout against the additional scope. For flats, ask about access and any arrangements affecting shared areas. The best layout is the one that works in your actual property.
