Separate a refit from a new room

Ask about the position of the door, toilet and extraction relative to the bed. Discuss the proposed wall construction and any noise concerns with the installer. Lighting spilling into the bedroom and the way the fan operates are also worth considering. Small practical choices can make the room more comfortable to share.
Choose fewer, better-fitting elements
Keep the essential fittings and useful storage in proportion to the space. A compact vanity is only useful if it leaves room to move and opens properly. Review cleaning access around the toilet and shower. Obtain a written scope that explains preparation, connections and finishing work, then use the same details when comparing quotations.
